Browse Forums Lighting + Lighting Design 1 Aug 08, 2014 8:20 pm Hi all has anyone had some dual ended flood lights installed on the premise as of late? My house is starting construction soon and I wanted to see how much it may costs me for some exterior duel ended glood lights like this one http://www.bunnings.com.au/brilliant-35 ... t_p7070756 thanks Re: outdoor lighting 2Aug 17, 2014 2:56 pm I wouldnt necessarily refer to these as floodlights, they are up/down lights. (used as feature lighting rather than illuminating a large area) They basically just have 2x globes in them, one shining up, the other down. (good for wall washing) The costs are basically that as listed, however there are many different types and designs you could get. For example, light them with CFL's, Halogens or LED's. The exterior can also range from plastic, brushed alloy, brass etc which vary the price. General application / light output as seen in pic below: Re: outdoor lighting 4Aug 21, 2014 8:09 pm Got them at our place too and love the look of them but was told to buy 316 SS instead of 304 because it has better corrosion resistance. Might be something to keep in mind or maybe I was just swindled. http://camdenbuild.blogspot.com.au/ by invite only please pm me Re: outdoor lighting 5Aug 21, 2014 11:14 pm Same here robbie. We live by the ocean so got marine grade SS. Wasn't that expensive either. Re: outdoor lighting 6Sep 04, 2014 11:06 am Hi, There are many options when it comes to flood lighting, and the key is to choose something that is aesthetically pleasing, and suits your exterior, and the exact purpose you require them for. If its to be used solely as feature lighting, then you should buy what you like, if its for security, then definitely buy a flood light, because that is it's purpose. I hope this helps Kind Regards, Kristin Lighting Expert Phone -1300 798 220 Email - service@golights.com.au Website - http://www.golights.com.au Re: outdoor lighting 7Oct 03, 2014 12:11 pm There are not any significant cost differences in building in the West in comparison to any other part of Melbourne. It will depend on soil testing and engineering recommendations as to the costs which will be the same in all areas.
