Browse Forums Lighting + Lighting Design 1 Apr 27, 2014 7:16 pm We're only a matter of weeks away from getting the keys to our new house. Finalising our lighting selection and will be getting quotes from a couple of sparkies. We've incorporated a bit of 2-way (and even 3-way) switching for some circuits to suit traffic flows and such. My question is whether anyone has experience with the push button switches (standard and dimmable) and multi-way switching? (www.hpm.com.au/WhatsNew.aspx?pid=466). Does the little indicator go on/off regardless which switch is used (e.g. with a traditional switch, the light will be off when *both* switches are in either the on *or* off position). Related question, with the push button dimmers (www.hpm.com.au/Products.aspx?pid=470), when they're switched on do they default to "fully on"? (again, traditional dimmer mechanisms might be low, high, whatever when you flick the switch). Because we have a number of circuits and multi-way switching, in some locations we'll be fully occupying a 6-gang plate - hence the need to look at switch with integral dimmer. Re: Dimmable push-button switches and multi-way switching 5Apr 30, 2014 11:49 pm Thanks. Will check them out too. Have since determined which componentry in the HPM range will work with the dimmable LEDs we plan to install. At the end of the day, will leave it to the qualified sparky, but it's always useful to get familiar with the products.
