Ended up going with 91cm instead. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Had it a little lower initially (around 80cm) but was told it's too low by my wife (even though I'm the taller one and it definitely clears my height when bending over the island). Still waiting for my c u c me pendant to arrive (the ball is here but the drum is on back order). Re: Pendant Light for Void 23Jun 20, 2014 7:19 pm Perfect pendant for the void! Not too big at all. Any smaller and it wouldn't be the feature you need it to be. Scale is just right! Can I ask how long your island bench is? I'm trying to pick pendants for our island bench in the next month or two and yours look great. Pendant Light for Void 24Jun 20, 2014 7:31 pm We ordered the small round one for our void (much smaller than the op's plan, roughly 2m x 1m) and another drum/cylinder one for the dining table. We initially wanted to get the medium round one but figured it might be too tall. The cylinder version is basically the round one with a flat top and bottom. Island bench is about 3.5m long. Damn fine lights. The cylinder would look good in my dining room, but just a little too small I think. I've got an oversized dining room with a 12 seater on the way. But the balls look nice for either my void or stairwell (or both!). Is it too much to have multiples throughout the house or does it tie it all in nicely? Re: Pendant Light for Void 26Jul 01, 2014 7:42 am Cylinder is 60cm in diameter. It's not that small, unless your table is over 180cm (best ratio is one third). As for making each pendant tie in, I reckon that's the best approach. Flows through the home more, unless each room has their own style. Re: Pendant Light for Void 27Jul 01, 2014 8:56 pm Pongie, my dining room is around 5x5m square. A 12 seater table will be around 3 metres. My little 6 seater I have now is 1.8m, so that's fairly small. Might have to get a bigger light. I've only left one batten light in the dining room, so will have to try to rewire if I have to go multiple lights in the room. Pendant Light for Void 28Jul 01, 2014 9:49 pm If it's a single storey then rewiring should not be too hard and you could just have two or three pendants. Having two though, means you'll have to patch the original spot (if it's centered) Edit: the small pendant felt a bit lonely so I decided to add two more. Looks much better now.
