Personally I don't like cool white for residential but it comes down to personal taste. If you shop around you will be able to find these for $25-30. They are a generic Chinese downlight using Samsung LED chips and various types of drivers, imported and sold under various brand names. They're not too bad value for money. They're not really a style that I would use in living areas, but as long as you're happy with them then that's really all that counts.
