This was quite a long time ago. Not a single one of the LEDs have blown and only one standard one blew a few weeks ago. The branded ones here in Perth didn't last anywhere near as long. Having said that, I think it depends very much on who the seller is and as it is in China, you can never be sure what you are getting. In my opinion though, for the cheap price you are paying, it is probably worth getting a few initially if you are not in a rush and trialing them. If they are good, then buy the rest! Sometimes you'll land yourself a good company, sometimes you won't. And even then, sometimes that company is going to send you good lighting that doesn't' get damaged in shipping, and sometimes they won't. Most lights are perfectly safe. However do keep in mind that they often lack appropriate certification, especially when they come direct from China. There are some obvious implications in having a product in your home that isn't certified for safe use. Just keep this in mind when shopping around for your lighting. If the proper certification doesn't exist, you will void all insurance on your property!! Its not worth risking if you don't know what certification they have.
