I found a great website being run by a guy on Whirlpool.

All these brands seem to get quite a few mentions on Homeone. Re: LED Benchmark Tests. 3Jun 04, 2013 10:02 am That is a pretty decent site. Shows some pretty big discrepancies. Re: LED Benchmark Tests. 4Jun 05, 2013 9:29 am Also here is a great example of how heat can affect bulb vs fitting. D900 curve (most comparative to our fitting) = 54deg @ 25deg ambient 11w gu10 = 71deg @ 25deg ambient As ambient increases the difference will most likely increase in a non linear fashion. If the chip life was 50,000hrs in a D900 (will be much longer) then the equivalent chip life for the gu10 could be as low as 12,500hrs. This is all at 25deg which is very unlikely in summer. It also doesn't take into account any electronics temperature. Re: LED Benchmark Tests. 5Jan 05, 2014 3:56 pm Thats a pretty good observation, however not entirely accurate. You see thermal insulation plays a big part in lamp life also. Therefore comparing a Brightgreen which retail for approximately $80 compared to a Sunny, which retail for $20 is like comparing, a Ferrari to a Holden. Although the Sunny is EXTREMELY good for the price point, and has a 2 year warranty with an approximate life span of 50,000 hours, and a lumen out put (brightness) of 450lm, which for a $20 globe, is extremely good.
