Hi Fred, I just bought the v1.5 Brightgreens which are still to be installed. As you probably know the advertised advantage of the v1.5 over the v1 is the slightly higher light output, the slightly lower power input and the slightly higher CRI. In practice I don't think you (or I) would notice the difference between the v1 and v1.5 downlights. I just didn't like the idea of getting an older model but I don't think it would have mattered if I did. Also the price seemed to be the same to get the newer version.
