We are building with Rawson homes and due to have our electrical appointment soon.
I dont want to get our downlights through the builder as they charge through the nose for them. We were planning to get normal bayonet fittings put in where we want a downlight installed later on the ground floor (we are building a two storey) and just the basic on the first floor and then add the downlights after handover.
I am totally clueless when it comes to lights. I have been reading everyones comments relating to the Wattsaver LED's and I am quite impressed, yet also confused.
I sent Stephen from Wattsaver an email yesterday with my house plans and received a reply this morning.
Stephen has suggested the DL7-1400. He has suggested spacing them 1.8m apart and he has said that this would be good for a 2.7m ceiling. We are having normal height ceilings, not 2.7m ceilings, which i explained to him in my email, so I am not sure if this will change the model that would be needed. Secondly from reading comments, it has been said that you can place them further apart than 1.8m. While I want adequate light in my house, I do not want a show home with their hundreds of downlights.
Any further help I would appreciate. Happy to post plans if need be.
Thanks
