We have had dimmers installed with our lights by our builder and they're very noisy when dimmed. When our last house was built ('99) we didn't have this problem but I remember when my parents built their electrician advised them against the dimmers due to noise.
Is there a fix for this??

Are you talking about the buzzing sound?
What sort of lights are you dimming and how many? If you are dimming halogen downlights with electronic transformers it is possible that you might be able to swap to "universal" dimmers to solve the problem.

Yep the buzzing sound....won't be able to live with that!
They are halogen downlights but have no idea about the transformers. I want to bring it up with the builder for them to fix so looking for ideas to suggest to them.
