i was hoping to get everyone's input on something here.. i have decided to put up a pendant at the center of the dining area as i really like the effect it creates when entertaining... however am not sure if i should go for them over the kitchen island bench.. we are getting raised ceilings from the standard height so low ceilings won't be an issue.. I am attaching two pictures.. the one with red cabinets is what picture is of what our kitchen will look like once finished.... except for the fact that we will have an L shaped bench and the wash basin will be moved to the bench... 2nd picture is the sort of pendants i like.... would really appreciate it if you guys can give me any proz and conz u can think of... any other lighting ideas will also be appreciated.. we have our electrical appointment on thursday.... so would be great if i can get any responses before that.. You need that extra bit of light over your work areas that ceiling lights don’t provide. Love the Pendents in the second photo, but LOVE what your kitchen will look like finished! VERY NICE! I'll probably get something colourful because my kitchen is black and white. ~ Sarah ~ First build was a nightmare, why are we considering a second build?! Plans on hold for a few years, doesn't mean I can't look. A lot! Re: Pendants or not? 5Mar 18, 2008 1:20 pm Are you moving the cook top and range hood off the bench? In the photo it looks like the range hood will be in the way.
If you are swapping the sink and rangehood over, then i think it will look great. Paula Re: Pendants or not? 6Mar 18, 2008 1:33 pm Re: Pendants or not? 8Mar 18, 2008 1:44 pm Thanks Paula I think its come up really well also!
