Browse Forums Lighting + Lighting Design 1 Jun 19, 2012 11:41 am Morning all Our house isnt far from being completed and i want to start looking at outdoor lighting. In particular i am looking at driveway lighting. I would like to run approx 10 lights around the sides of the driveway and have a light above our letterbox. The letterbox i am not to worried about as it will be pretty easy to find something for that Can anyone suggest any brands or stores that sell hardcore outdoor/all weather lights. Everything i have found so far appears to be a budget kind of light that wouldnt last much more than 12 months in the elements. I obviously want something that is going to stand the test of time whilst also looking good. I dont know what sort of light i want yet as i havent really seen anything i like, but i guess i want something about knee height that emits a decent ammount of light. I dont want solar lights though it would be easier if they were of a decent quality If you have any suggestions it would be great to have some links or pictures of the lights as visuals always make it easier. The other option is to mount an exterior light to a wall or similar. There are also "step lights" which are suitable for exterior use. My driveway is about 100m long and my current plan is to mount something like these http://www.onlinelighting.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=1740 on treated pine slabs beside the driveway.
