Well have finally made a decision in relation to new lights. They are the ones I mentioned a little while ago.
They are a 90 mm single LED gimble downlight.
We ordered 3 of them to trial for colour choice, 1 in each of the cool white, natural white, and warm white. As normal the C/white had a blue tinge, but nowhere near as strong as others I have seen, the natural or daylight, which is our preferred choice. It is a nice clean light. The warm white in this light seemed a little to yellow for us.
The performance of a single light is very good. The spread of light far exceeds that of a halogen downlight. Usable light spread would be approx 3.5 - 4 metres (maybe bit more) in diameter. The actual spread goes far beyond that. I have seen the brightgreen in a shop scenario and I believe that these have a better light spread. The price of these also is far more competitive being approx $63 each including the driver.
A couple of pics is below of the light. The biggest difference in these as opposed to others is that they appear similar to a halogen, with a similar style reflector.
