Browse Forums Lighting + Lighting Design 1 Jan 16, 2012 10:50 am hi, just wondering if there is anyone in the know around that could answer my question. what i was wanting to do, instead of adding too many extra lights to our plan, i was wondering if once build was done, i could just get the track or rail lights that have 2 or 3 lights on them and get them put in, do i need to do anything extra at plan stage, or can they just be connected [obviously by sparky] to existing points. hope that makes sense. thanks Re: Track/Rail Lighting 2Jan 22, 2012 3:35 am They can be connected to existing points and at planing stage just account for 0ne light in each room , one thing you must remember if you have bad lighting it wont matter how much you spend on the rest of your home its going to look sh!t , also you need to have your lighting plan done before your sparky starts wiring because once the the walls and ceiling are closed it costs about 3 times more for that extra light , Our standard double-glazed window is tested to achieve, Rw 34, and can be glazed to suit Rw 39.
