The web site doesn't have too much information on the actual lamp, but it looks like a standard Philips 'tornado' style. These are available in dimming, so there are cheaper fittings available (I found one document that lists a recommended trade price of $48 for the Dot-92) that you could put the same dimming CFL into - Have a look at the Jupiter 5 and other fittings in the downlight section of sites like Mica Lighting, Buyster etc.
There are cheaper downlights exactly like that style and since you are going to change the whole fitting PLUS also since there CLF the cheaper versions do the same job as it's just connections in the light were LEDs have electronics in the light which is why some LEDs aren't 100 percent yet. I get these style lighting for 15 ea and I know plight will be double the price if you want I can get u the name and brand I used iv done over 15 houses with these lights in the passed 2 months and they seem to be ok, and do the same job.
For all your electrical questions please pm me! Happy to help anyone

I have found some cheaper ones too. But none of them are dimmable. If you could let me know what you have installed that would be great. Do you know what wattage globe you have used? And would you have any photos of them installed. So many options, trying to work out what wattage and lamp colour for each room and then what spacing for them all to give the best light. Also would you know if the side entry or top entry lamp holder gives the best light?
