We are building now with a volume builder and with all the changes we are making we probably need to cut back rather than add more additional costs. Just wondering if wall lighting is the sort of thing you can easily add later or does it have to be done as the house is been built? Are there cost effective things you can do during the build to make adding them later less costly? I guess the other aspect is we are going off a plan of a house that doesn't have a display home so it's a bit hard to picture how you'd use each room. Any thoughts? It can be done - but an eleco may charge you more as he has to use one of those huge long drills to make holes through the frame. It can be even worse if a wall with insulation inside! The other option may be to drill holes yourself at framing time and tie in drop lines. We did this when we built our first home - but that was 10yrs ago and Beechwood approved us doing it.
