Browse Forums Lighting + Lighting Design 1 Feb 17, 2011 2:09 pm Hiya, I have a recessed entry in my new build and I hoping for some ideas for lighting. Wanted to make it really special... i know a lot of people do LED's around, but I was thinking about something different, a really beautiful pendant? Anyone have any ideas.. The celing is 31c - then recessed. Or any photos of their foyers?? Yes, I think it is worth it. But I spose only if you make some sort of feature out of it. You could look at putting some wall lighting, or lighting a picture/artwork instead. If you wanted to save money...I donno. I've seen it done badly! UI do like your light Catjim, might have to wonder some lighting shops and pick their brains. I love that look where the recess is lit up, but you can't see the lights? I figure you would need some sort of ledge though. This was the only photo I have of the entry and was from when we were still building LOL. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Show me your Foyer/Entry Lighting 7Feb 25, 2011 9:18 am We don't have a recessed ceiling in our entry but this is ours. We have high ceilings in the entry with 1 downlight and it has a wall niche with a couple of starlights, then we have a bit which the builder called the "lobby" where the ceiling goes even higher again, so we put this ball there. Off to the right of it is the laundry and the entry to the garage Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ all the lights on together Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ ETA: still looking for that perfect picture for the niche! Re: Show me your Foyer/Entry Lighting 8Feb 25, 2011 10:45 am wow - I love all those lights. I have seen some of them in the lighting store and wondered what they would look like.... hmmm making it harder! Shopping for lights is probably the the thing I am most excited about. Does everyone feel the same way?
