Browse Forums Lighting + Lighting Design 1 Oct 20, 2010 6:39 pm Hi all, Im just about to buy some down lights. Im not too sure what colour to get. I like the stainless steel colour but my partner says we dont want to make a feature out of them. Im just wondering what everyone is using at the moment...white or stainless steel? Thanks in advance Re: White or stainless steel coloured down lights? 2Oct 20, 2010 7:05 pm A nice clean-lined downlight is best in stainless steel. This I think looks best. If the fitting is a bit clunky, then best to hide it as a white one. I've gone for a nice stainless steel look (actually aluminium). I recently stood in front of the shelf at funnings making the same decision - I think the white ones were cheaper, so I went with them. cheers JMB -------------------------------------- I'll have a go at that, how hard can it be? Re: White or stainless steel coloured down lights? 6Oct 22, 2010 9:10 am B STAR stainless steel one will not yellow That's why we are going for stainless steel ones. In the house we're in at the moment, some have yellowed and others haven't. We had them in our last house for 7 years with no yellowing at all.
