Hi. We made a provision for another light outside the the main entrance door with the builder. We are thinking of putting a downlight with sensor. Has anybody used this? Any suggestion that has sensor aside from this one?
Thanks.

We couldn't find a convenient way to wire a light switch for our walk-in pantry so the builder put the downlight on a sensor with a 5 minute turn-off. I was skeptical at first, but it works fine. The biggest problem I can see is that it might be activated by things like cats etc (your outside one....not our pantry one ) Cheers zeke Edit - in light of your subsequent post, any light you like can be wired up to a sensor. Re: downlight with sensor 5Feb 14, 2010 11:45 pm Yep, we have a lot of various lights fitted to sensors in our current house. We'll probably get sensor downlights for our entry, maybe a LED strip sensor for the kids hallway or something and for our portico (trying to remember what we discussed...) I think it was a downlight again Custom European Cabinets - Melbourne Kitchen Specialist PM for business details as website currently being updated! Our Crazy Owner Builder Journey! There are Clipsal Infrascan (http://www.clipsal.com.au/consumer/__da ... 81/A83.pdf) and also HPM versions. I think you can also get a ceiling recessed (flush) version that looks a bit like a downlight. Most electrical wholesalers should have a few models available. From prev experience I'd suggest that you go for a separate sensor - I had the lights with the inbuilt sensor on a home, but the sensor was poor quality & either failed or the weather got to it. I'm curious, did they provide any reason why they did not like the idea? 1 14042 |
