Browse Forums Lighting + Lighting Design 1 Feb 01, 2010 9:51 am Hi, Looking for good priced lights in Melbourne. Can someone pls tell me where to buy them from? I have bought half of my lights already, but now I am after the big ticket ones- pendant lights for dining, island bench, masterbedroom. Also a Chandelier for the formal lounge. Any help is appreciated Cheers Re: LIGHTS - MELBOURNE 2Feb 01, 2010 12:04 pm Hey maniradha, if you check out page one of my thread- viewtopic.php?f=31&t=23580&start=0 you'll see our light shopping adventures. I was really impressed with their range, and their service. No one even approached me in Beacon, but the guy at HOL showed me everything, recommended things, looked up catalogues and ended up special ordering some things. These lights are for the original part of my house though, to suit the period style, I didn't really take much notice of their 'modern' fittings if that's what you are looking for. Re: LIGHTS - MELBOURNE 7Feb 08, 2010 9:27 am Hey Mishb, I checked out home of lights and bot a couple of oyesters from there. Most of the shopping done through Lightup in Springvale... I found there prices to be best so far, even cheaper than the online Melbourne store most people are talkin about on the forum. Just need my pendant light for the kitchen island and one above the dining table and then I am done.. mishb I've just bought some lights from Home of Lights in Bentleigh (Ormond?) Re: LIGHTS - MELBOURNE 9Feb 12, 2010 4:28 pm Oh..thats not good..Hope it doesnt cost too much..When you have a minute, can you pls PM the details of your electrician too... [quote="mishb"]Well the electrician came yesterday to install the new lights. Apparently the whole front of the house (the original part) needs rewiring. /quote] Re: LIGHTS - MELBOURNE 11Feb 19, 2010 5:46 pm McKinnon Mish b, when I saw Home of Lights I just cracked up laughing. I have been driving past Home of Lights in Bentleigh for the last 40 years and for the last 25 years they have been permenantley ON SALE! Everything I bought there was 'on sale'. They are willing to haggle on price though, which is a good thing. I have my eye on a pricey floor lamp, I'm going to go back in and see if they will drop the price a little more. Re: LIGHTS - MELBOURNE 12Feb 22, 2010 10:45 am Yeah, sometimes you get good deals. I was at Lightup yesterday, and the lady reduced the price from $600 to $365 after a couple of minutes of good effort So I'm just reading up on this ecosystem of lights. I'm planning on putting deck lights along the outside edge of a large deck. Will need about 3 packs (18 lights) plus… 0 23016 I do enjoy the drama:-D In his latest two videos he has started bringing security guards to site, I am waiting for the punch on to begin lol 6 45498 It's all about wireless, self install now. The cost/benefit of wired setups for the house are no longer what they used to be. Lots of wireless options. Eufy, Arlo and… 2 9780 |
