Browse Forums Lighting + Lighting Design 1 Nov 04, 2009 11:53 am Our new house has a raked ceiling in the living/dining area and I was hoping to put in some pendant lights. The first will be over the lounge - approx. ceiling height 9.75' The 2nd will be over the dining - approx. ceiling height 13.25' I've seen a lot of the diagrams for pendant lights online have maximum length 1200mm. This will be too short for my pendants to be in line with each other, and in the dining room it would be too high to do any good anyway. I assume the maximum height would relate to the electrical cable length as well as the suspension chain/rod/cable length. Can an electrician rewire the lights and add longer chains? What are the options for high ceilings?
