Browse Forums Lighting + Lighting Design 1 Oct 02, 2009 1:56 pm We are coming to the end of our renovation and we had our lights installed yesterday. In the front room we had chosen a pendant light which consists of 3 red fronsted glass tubes suspended from the ceiling, each with a globe inside. When we tried it out we were a little amused to find that the entire room goes red. When we saw them at beacon lighting there didn't seem to be any color projection, though I am not sure they had them on. I was wondering if there was anything we could do to elimate the redness? Re: Red light district 2Oct 02, 2009 2:02 pm If the actual tubes are red then it is always going to project red. The only thing to negate it would be to paint the insides of each tube white - which will then project a whiter light - but it would make them no longer translucent. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Red light district 3Oct 02, 2009 2:38 pm I was thinking that since the bottom of each tube doesn't have glass if I got more of a spotlight bulb then most of the light would be projected downwards and out the empty space instead of through the glass. I have also considered getting another lamp to try and diffuse the color. Re: Red light district 4Oct 06, 2009 12:21 am Hi there dstan, Can you load some pictures of your fitting?
