But there is one thing that you need to keep in mind, and that's, all dimmers have a VA rating. This stipulates the total wattage that the switch can handle. For example, if you has 10lights running 50w globes, this would give you a total of 500watts. Therefore, you would require a 500va dimmer switch, regaless of whether they are on the same circuit or not. Once a dimmer is installed, this actually becomes the switch (in some sense). I think the highest dimmer switch rating is either 400 or 500va. You might want to reconfirm that with your electrician, ot local electrical supplier. Hope this has helped.
