Can someone pls explain the difference between these 2 globes/fittings?
If a light fitting specifies a particular watt in relation to one of these "G" globes are they interchangable with higher or lower watt globes of the same sort??

Re: G9 & GU10 2Jul 26, 2009 12:23 am Hi there SS, The "G" part of the globe, should be accompanied by a number, eg G9, G4, etc. This is the type of base on that particular globe. In regards to the wattage, you can litterally up or down the wattage to whatever you prefer, but keep in mind, never to exceed the maximum wattage specified for the particular fitting. You will find that every fitting has a maximum wattage rating. Otherwise, do as you please. You may find what you require here - http://shop.micaunited.com.au/cat/2055050.html Hope this helps. |
