The deck will go all the way from the door to the fence on each side. There will also be minimal clearance underneath the deck. I want to install recessed deck lights, my dh is telling me this is not possible due to the lack of access there will be to underneath the deck. Is he telling me a fib? Re: Recessed deck lighting 3Feb 07, 2009 10:33 am FIBBER!!!!
Recessed lights are only 50-75mm deep... They will fit in ANY decking just fine Re: Recessed deck lighting 4Feb 08, 2009 10:32 am Sorry having computer problems
It should be possible. I have seen them recessed into pavers and concrete so don't see why you couldn't put it into decking. If you have a nice sand or dirt bed underneath to run the cable in it will be easier. The only problem you may have is where to mount the transformer, if lots of lights, bigger transformer, bigger cable.
