http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/20152139 Contemplating getting one for a wall light in a hall between kids bedrooms. Re: Wall Panel Lights 2Feb 16, 2009 6:32 am I have seen these before and they are just artwork with mini flouors mounted inside. They have a cord and plug. Licenced Sparky and Data Cabler If "The Data Guys" is too long to type, TDG will do. Re: Wall Panel Lights 3Feb 16, 2009 6:57 pm Ended up getting one - looks great mounted flush to wall. Very happy Re: Wall Panel Lights 4Feb 16, 2009 7:11 pm hi mudtrilogy. we were thinking of getting those lights for the hallway as well. But when we saw them on display, you seem to need to cut a big hole on the wall to make them sit flush. Did you cut a big hole just to make them sit flush?
Thanks \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ Re: Wall Panel Lights 5Feb 16, 2009 7:58 pm Mudtrilogy, Can you use any globe with them or do they have to be ikea bulbs? I have heard all their lights use only their globes.?
Very cool idea though, can you take a pic of what it looks like in your house? Re: Wall Panel Lights 6Feb 16, 2009 8:41 pm We have energy bulbs that fit just from safeways...
I will try and take a pic tomorrow. We got the green leaf one. It just looks like a piece of glass on the wall and when alight looks beautiful. Re: Wall Panel Lights 7Feb 16, 2009 8:43 pm Sorry only just saw full question.
We didn't cut a hole. Just mounted on to plasterboard. It does sit out but in our case you look into the light from the front more than from the side. Hope that makes sense. Not sure what it would look like mounted completely flush... Re: Wall Panel Lights 8Feb 16, 2009 8:45 pm We ended up with the centre one
http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/40152138 but we direct wired it to the switch so no need for cord Re: Wall Panel Lights 9Feb 16, 2009 8:59 pm I see. Thanks mudtrilogy. A pic would certainly be great.
We actually ended up with some Led wall lights positioned near the floor on the hallways. We really wanted that but was turned off due to not sitting flush on the wall. \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ Re: Wall Panel Lights 10Feb 16, 2009 9:07 pm Photos please…. mudtrilogy Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com So I'm just reading up on this ecosystem of lights.
