Browse Forums Lighting + Lighting Design 1 Dec 03, 2008 9:58 pm I went to pay off and organise deliver of my ceiling fans today, and saw some exterior lights. Just wondering what people think would suit my facade better, square ones or round ones?
Here is my facade, we want a pair of up and down lights either side of garage (have to be very slimline due to downpipe) and one porch light next to front door (wall mounted). I'm curious to know what you ended up deciding on. And see some photos, of course.
Our facade is VERY square, but we've gone for round feature lights. I'll post some photos when they're installed - they're still in the boxes at the moment. Re: Exterior lights - round or square? 17Jan 02, 2009 10:29 pm kek, I haven't even got them yet! I'll definitely get the round up and down ones for the sides of the garage, and put plants underneath them which I think will look nice still unsure about the one next to the door though the one int he picture I posted is very loong, maybe too long? not sure. DH wants a coach light but I don't think that would suit at all. I am going to order some bathroom lights int he next few days so we'll have another gander then. I have decided on the round ones as I like the look of them better, I'm going for a charcol colour to tie in the roof colour. I was thinking of square ones as I think they would go with the house better but decided to go with what i liked rather Seems like a lot of people on here prefer the round ones also Know where your going in life............... you may already be there Re: Exterior lights - round or square? 20Mar 03, 2009 11:24 pm kiwi056 Have you considered just having LV lights in your eaves i.e. no wall lights? I think it might be a bit late now for me kiwi056, but I'm sure they're great, whetever they are!!! I ended up getting the round ones, these for either side of garage Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ and this for beside front door ... hmm can't post the pic but its here http://shop.micaunited.com.au/include/c ... 208977.jpg Only one garage one is installed as dad who is doing all my light fittings ran out of time for the other one also the sensor on it doesn't seem to be working yet the one beside the door is also there but they gave us the wrong globe so it is waiting for the right one.
