To also open up the available wall space, I want to relocate the thermostat to an area above the light switch. Please see below image. Is it safe to move the wiring of the thermostat to be inline and above the switch? I am interested in a Nest Thermostat to combine both heating and cooling controllers into one device. Though i understand i will lose the variable fan control of the evap cooler. Nest Thermostats are not available in Australia and not official supported for a good reason. While many of us have made them work, you’ll need to determine compatibility with your Brivis system. It may be that you will need to install an intermediate relay system.
