Browse Forums Old Home Restoration / Renovation 1 Oct 29, 2019 9:11 pm I am looking at purchasing a property, where the living room was added as an extension . The original dwelling has an open fire in the kitchen and the back of this open fire, the chimney shaft was originally outside but now it’s a feature of the extension living room. My question is it possible to close off the kitchen fire and open up an open fire in what was the original back of the fire, so that the living room then has a fireplace, I am not sure how feasible this is, given it was built for the draw being the other way.
