Browse Forums Old Home Restoration / Renovation 1 Dec 17, 2023 10:20 am I purchased a home which I am renovating. The front brick fence is unstable/cracking and needs to be replaced. I would like to take down all the brickwork front and sides and do a new fence (likely continue the colorbond on the sides and then possibly brick up new front). If I am paying for all the works do I need permission from the neighbours to take down the common brick fence on the sides? One of the houses is empty and neighbours say has been empty for years. Any easy ways of finding the owners contact details? If I can't get in touch with them can I still proceed?
