We saw a place that we really like except for one HUGE problem. There's fake wood panel sheets on 70% of the house & 30% wallpaper - the really ugly type of wallpaper. (and for some random reason lots of flashing LEDs runs along all the ceiling)
The current owner has updated the bathrooms & kitchen in last 6 mths, so it's just the internal cosmetics that we need to deal with. I'm thinking we put in 20k (if that's realistic) to fix these old interior walls, re-stain the floors & landscaping.
My Q... If you had these old fake wood panel sheets would you... (or have you done it already?)
A) Remove then paint
B) Paint straight over it
C) Gap fill then paint over it
D) Put pasteboards over it
E) walk away
Plan is to live here for a decade, so it's not an investment.
Thoughts??
