something that i have seen on other forums is having peoples user name in different colours depending on what state you live in.
eg
vic---dark blue
nsw--light blue
qld---marron
and so on.
Browse Forums Bugs & Suggestions Re: user name 2Jan 27, 2011 8:49 pm Oh no!! - not the compulsory showing of location bugbear again!!!! Ledgend, there have been many debates about this on here - you can show your location yourself on your avatar, in broad, specific or fictional terms - eg South Australia/ specific suburb of city/at my laptop etc - but it is not compulsory to do so and a colour system would have to have an opt out colour for those who didnt want location shown. Re: user name 3Jan 28, 2011 9:30 pm i thought it would of been a good idea as i have seen a few people asking questions on here and then people on here having to ask them where they are located. and if people user names were a different colour for each state like how the support team are all green people could easily see what state they are from. but if it has been debated on here before and nothing has happened i think i will leave it at that. just my 2 cents woth. Re: user name 4Jan 29, 2011 10:00 am Im not saying its a bad idea - just saying there have been heated debates on this already and Admin decided not to make it compulsory - I guess its up to people to display their own location if they are asking questions specific to an area. PS: your own location isnt shown, ledgend Re: user name 5Jan 29, 2011 10:53 am ledgend80, as Helyn mentioned the issues of mandatory locations has been debated over many times! The result of ths was that all new members must select from a drop-down list their state when joining the forum, and existing members which update their profile must also. You can view the state selected by clicking the "Profile" button in the respective post. I hope that helps. Your suggestion is a wonderful idea, however in all honesty I dont believe it is something which will be implemented any time soon Custom European Cabinets - Melbourne Kitchen Specialist PM for business details as website currently being updated!
