Open it adobe, print screen to capture, paste in paint, then save as a jpeg. In paint it also allows you to delete any personal info you don't want to share - name/address etc. Hope it helps. Bel Still not in. Don't ask!? Re: How do you upload a .pdf copy of plans to HomeOne or FB? 3Jun 13, 2009 2:04 pm bel, what do you mean "print screen to capture it"??? I have my plans in an email and I don't know how to do it. I was going to print everything out... then scan it back into my computer and do it from there in paint. I'm very technically challenged though. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: How do you upload a .pdf copy of plans to HomeOne or FB? 4Jun 13, 2009 2:09 pm Joles - on the bottom left of your keyboard is there a [fn] button - press this as well as up on the top right side the button for home [prt sc] - this does a screenshot for you. This is on my laptop - not sure whether every computer is the same or not however - since I am probably even more tech challenged then you Some things are worth waiting for. Re: How do you upload a .pdf copy of plans to HomeOne or FB? 6Jun 13, 2009 2:52 pm joles I don't have an fn button. alt and print screen will take the screen capture and then you can paste it into paint 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' In my efforts I've somehow done something and now I can't open any of the files in the email anyway. It keeps trying to open them in paint rather than adobe reader. This is way toooo complicated for me so I just went to the newsagent and photocopied my A3 drawings to A4 and I'll scan them into my computer and go from there. I know I do things the hard way but that's the only way I know how when it comes to computers. I'm very challenged. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. In other words, Press SHIFT & PRINT SCREEN. What you are doing is copying the ENTIRE screen on your computer as you see it. Open PAINT ( that's what i use) Click on EDIT & PASTE your plans into PAINT. Tidy up/edit out the things you don't want made public eg address, names, etc.... Do a SAVE AS & save the plans as a jpg on your computer Open PHOTOBUCKET Upload your plans Adjust the size if necessary Copy your plans ie the IMG link & paste directly into your post. Built the Eden Brae Cambridge 34 Family with Boston Corner Facade Re: How do you upload a .pdf copy of plans to HomeOne or FB? 10Jun 13, 2009 5:30 pm Jo can you try to "open with" and select a program??? If you have saved a soft copy in "my documents" you can right click on the file and select "open with". It should list a few applications it suggests (if its a pdf adobe will be on the list) or you can tell it to open with another application. If you only have the file as an attachment to an email, you should get the same pop up window - "open with" just scroll down the list and select adobe. Bel Still not in. Don't ask!? Re: How do you upload a .pdf copy of plans to HomeOne or FB? 11Jun 13, 2009 6:12 pm Nope... no pop up. Just automatically opens in paint. I'm not fussed.
