Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Jun 06, 2020 9:22 pm Hi everyone Looking at floor selections for our new build and tossing up between hybrid and water resistant laminate. We will most likely go through the builder for these due to ease and only a slight cost increase (based off other quotes received) Hybrid - Aspire New England Blackbutt - can’t really find much info about this and there’s not many reviews but the ones I find do seem positive https://www.preferencefloors.com.au/aspire/ Laminate- Quick Step - Majestic Blackbutt - well known brand with relatively good reviews but can’t find too many about the specific range, the ones I have found seem positive though https://www.quick-step.com.au/en-au/cam ... e-flooring Other option is kronoswiss aqua stop - same thing as above regarding reviews. https://www.preferencefloors.com.au/aquastop/ At the moment We’re leaning towards the laminate as it feels/ looks more authentic then the hybrid. We will also opt for the acoustic underlay to reduce sound. Does anyone have any experience with the above, I’d love to hear the feedback - cost wise they are Aqua- 10k majestic- 12.5k hybrid-14.5K TIA Re: What floating floor!? 2Jan 27, 2021 1:16 pm Hi Nick I'd be keen to know where you eventually landed and is it in now? For the flooring we have settled on Cleverchoice Hybrid - https://www.cleverchoice.com.au/product ... tt-940369/ It was actually on the showroom floor and we liked the feel / sound/ look of it, so it was a no brainer! Thanks, that's the motivation I needed to give it a try sooner rather than one day! 4 3003 To put anything over slate you will need to put self level compound over the entire area as slate various in thickness and is very un even.
