I have selected engineered timber from prestige oak (preference floors) 2mm wear (2/14mm) in natural oak. brushed We love the color.
Janka for oak 6.1kN
I am now pondering whether i should have gone to 4mm. We dont have pets and never will, kids are 5 and 8 and some more years of play left. I dont want to live in fear of damaging the floor.
I pondering whether I upgrade to 4mm or change to Blackbutt(second choice). Thoughts and experience would be great.
