Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Jun 30, 2019 3:58 pm Hi all. I recently had a grind and seal done on my mid 80s home floor. I chose a semi gloss finish and the contractor use an oil based polyurethane. My problem is that I am really unhappy with the finish. There are multiple problems including bubbling (which they are planning to fix) but also the application is very uneven. I really didn't expect this for what was supposed to be a clear finish. But the contractor says it is normal. Of course it was not apparent in any of the photos of previous works 😞 So can anyone tell me if that is true or is he just trying to excuse poor application of the seal.
