For liquid stains such as coke, coffee, red wine, tea and cordial use a steel spoon scrap up excess working from outside to in than use white toilet paper and start blotting repeat blotting with toilet paper until stain/colour is removed. For any other stain like mustard, wax, hair dye, nail polish, ink call a professional. If you spill red wine on your carpet add white wine to it first before you try and remove. Would you use a different detergent if the coffee has milk in it? Re: Carpet Stain Removal Guide 4Oct 27, 2008 6:08 am It all depends on the fabric but if not treated asap than all is lost you would have to call in a carpet cleaner for the carpet and the table cloths soak in napi san or try hydrogen proxide diluted than rinse.
