Engineered vs Solid Timber Flooring

I'm torn between these two products, I'm leaning more towards solid but most flooring stores seem to push the engineered flooring more. I plan to have either choice stuck down with sand & polish finish to cost going with solid from engineered is not that big. Has any had any major issues with engineered timber?

Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity.

If this is a custom build then I would expect the builder to set out the door frame closer to the wall to avoid the gap between architrave and the wall and or specify…
