The smell has gotten better slowly over the years and it's now generally ok during winter, but it's now our 3rd summer with it and warmer or humid weather still makes it off-gas so we're wondering if this is normal or should we be concerned? Has anyone had a similar experience with their flooring? How long did it take your flooring to stop smelling? Also, has anyone installed floorboards from Havwoods? Did you have any similar issues? We got the Europlank range. Thanks! Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity. 1 11502 Thanks Simon, I guess I'm no concerned with the volume of the noise rather that dead and hollow sound and feel that is associated with floating floors.
