I'm interested in instaling solid timber floorboards and would just like to know which method is the most durable. Methods I'm thinking about is direct stick and secret nail to plywood. The boards will be over a concert floor and I dont know whether i would use 19mm or 12mm yet. Also if anyone one has information about costing as well, it would be much apprciated. If anyone can help out that would be great.

Price can range from $30 per sq. metre to around $120 per sq. metre for solid timber flooring - you need to be a little more specific.
Laying boards over ply is one of the better methods of installation.
The choice between 12mm overlay and 19mm flooring may come down to any height issues. 12mm can laid over 12mm ply whilst 19mm needs to be over 15mm ply minimum.
