We are trying to decide on flooring for our open plan kitchen/dining/living area. We definitely prefer tiles over wood, so we are going with that. There are many things to decide though, so if anyone has any advice from your experiences, please give your feedback!
1. Gloss or matte???
2. Rectified or not???
3. Square or rectangle???
4. Small or large???
5. Light or dark???
Thank you for any advice!

I like rectangular ones, but it is a matter of personal choice. Same for gloss vs matte.
Rectified porcelain looks so much better.
Larger ones are better, but, as I heard, are more expensive to lay.
Darker ones are better for thermal mass if you put them on concrete slab and next to north facing windows.
