Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Apr 10, 2017 1:54 pm Hi Everyone! My partner and i will start the search for bamboo flooring (upstairs) and a greyish ceramic tile (downstairs). Do you have any recommendations in Western Sydney preferably? What have your experiences been with either? Anything to look out for? Thanks! Re: Recommendations for bamboo flooring and ceramic tiles 2Jul 15, 2017 9:10 pm Hi, I'm in the same boat, finalizing flooring. We're switching up between bamboo or laminate for upstairs. From all the sales reps we've talked to Bamboo: + Feels nicer, natural product + Hard - Moves based on weather If going bamboo, make sure its a good company (quickstep) and the installers provide good aftermarket support (willing to fix any cupping, warping) after installation and are experienced in laying the product. Laminate: + Stable + Cheap + More hardwearing - Doesn't look/feel as nice We have decided to go with laminate just because we don't want the floor cupping/warming under extreme weather. The villeroy and boch really appealed to me, so probably going with that. 1 16130 Looking to tile the facade pillars rather than rendering. Builder is quoting 2500$ laying cost for upto 10msq.
