Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Apr 06, 2017 8:26 pm Hi, We have just signed with Dechellis We really want polished concrete but the price is putting me off. I have spoken to a few polishers and their price I find reasonable between $85-$95 m2. Its the price Dechellis are possibly going to charge for the slab. They have told me to allow 10k extra for the slab, increasing the MPA and adding some colour and aggregate. We are after a greystone salt and pepper which I have heard is an entry level polished concrete look so can't understand why it will be close to 10K? This isn't the polishing cost thats extra. Any tips? Suggestions? Recommendations? Thanks Re: Polished Concrete 2Feb 19, 2018 7:56 pm I am in the same boat, thinking concrete will be cheaper than tile! Any luck??? You are fine. The concrete is never going to explode. Worse case scenario is that it develops a crack from different rates of expansion but hopefully it's got some… 5 4509 To my understanding early saw cuts are to control shrinkage cracks, so doing them now would be pointless. Control joints may reduce ugly cracking during periods of soil… 3 7407 |
