Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Oct 13, 2016 5:02 pm Hi, I was wondering if anyone Brisbane/Sunshine Coast area could recommend a timber flooring company for a solid blackbutt floor. I've phoned around and emailed floorplans but no one has gotten back to me as yet. Actually, I have had one quote from a Brisbane company but it seems very low $150 sqm fully installed including all materials, 17sqm of ply and that is 130mm and select grade blackbutt (133 sqm). Thats cheaper than my engineered floor quotes. Nothing wrong with a great price but I can't find much information on this company other than their own website so just being careful.. We've only recently moved to QLD so any recommendations are appreciated. Re: Recommendation Timber Flooring Sunshine Coast?? 2Nov 12, 2016 3:29 pm Hi MoodyBlue, We were looking at installing Bamboo flooring in our new place. We ended up with Kawana Flooring Warehouse. We ended up going with Vinyl planking instead and carpet, and they're being installed on Monday/Tuesday coming. We'll let you know how they go, but the service has been very good, the pricing was competitive without being stupidly cheap, and they seemed very knowledgable about what flooring types would be best for us. In the end, they actually convinced us to do the vinyl planking rather than the bamboo at materially lower cost because they thought it would suit our lifestyle and family situation better. Will update you Wednesday. Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity. 1 15919 Anybody know any good and reasonably priced Air conditioning contractors/companies that could install a ducted air conditioning system in the Central Coast NSW for a small… 0 8995 If you need to pay for a project manager you would be well advised to just engage a builder who would take full responsibility for the build.
