Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Apr 26, 2016 2:36 pm Hi guys, I am going to lay bamboo floor over concrete and in need to make floor level 30mm higher to match with kitchen tiles. The bamboo with underlay is 14+2 mm and 2-4 mm I can loose on connection line between tiles and bamboo floor. I still miss ~10 mm. Basically I am after 10-12mm underlay. I have only seen 3mm so far. What could be the best way to put floor higher? 1. Laydown some compressed wood 2. Same with fibrecement 3. Put lags and cover them with underlay (increased noise?) Any best practice advice? Thank you Re: Matching bamboo flooring with kitchen tiles. 2Aug 08, 2016 11:58 pm Your best solution would be to go with compressed wood which is harder than bamboo flooring. BTW are you going with engineered bamboo flooring? I have in my home and it makes a big difference minimising sound transfer. Insulation is pretty cheap and definitely worth it 2 6202 |
