Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Jan 30, 2016 4:15 pm Hi all, just got some laminae flooring (13mm thick) and am wondering which underlay to go for, concrete floor level, no major dings, a few spots that I'll fill with an exterior/interior cement based filler, in the kitchen area the floor had 2 layers of vinyl put down, the original and at some point new vinyl was put down the newer stuff came up pretty easy, but the original layer was glued down it's fairly thin 0.5mm maybe. I plan on just putting the underlay over this. 2 questions 1. is it worth getting the gold underlay or the silver ? or something else ? http://www.bunnings.com.au/qep-gold-lam ... -_p6650149 http://www.bunnings.com.au/qep-silver-l ... y_p6650148 2. Which is the recommended way to lay the underlay ? With the direction of the planks or at 90 degs ?
