Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Jul 06, 2015 1:47 pm Hi, I am building a new house with Henley but have the flooring installed ourselves as I was not impressed with their range. I was looking for something hardwearing as I have 2 kids and 2 dogs so had my heart set on Vinyl Planks. After lots of visits to flooring shops and lots of research I have been swayed over to laminate flooring as there can be many issues with laying the vinyl planks directly to a concrete slab. I was originally turned off laminate as it can chip and strach easily. Also I will be installing this in the kitchen so I was worried about water. Can anyone recommend a high quality laminate that is both durable and looks close to real timber? Can't seem to many reviews. So far I have been recommended a brand called Green Earth. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks!!!! Re: Laminate Flooring Recommendations please 2Jul 06, 2015 9:47 pm Hi I am getting Greenearth bordeaux poloma 12 mm laminate installed in next two weeks on my new home. It gives feel and look of real timber at fraction of price. If you are worried about scratches then real timber gets scratched easily too the only difference being timber can be sanded to get rid of scratches. But then at that price you can probaly get laminate flooring installed 4 times. My friend has had 9mm laminate from greenearth for 6 months without any problems or any scratches.
