Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 Dec 05, 2010 11:38 am I am thinking of having Quick Step Uniclic laid in Lounge/Dining & Bedrooms. Would love pics/suggestions. Also is there really a noticeable difference if we lay it ourselves. Re: Quick Step Uniclic Laminate Flooring 2Dec 05, 2010 2:32 pm Hi, Good product - think a 25yr warranty? We almost purchased it - but budget constraints meant we purchased a lower grade version. Their largo range looks AMAZING laid. I think it's pretty easy to install, having said that, I think you'll always find imperfections from a home-laid job vs a professional. Good luck!! You'll be fine. Easy. As long as you can use a drop saw and have some common sense and patience. I'm sure you do a great job. Read the instructions and take your time. Call the store who sold you the boards for phone assistance during the installation, rather than guessing and you'll be right. Re: Quick Step Uniclic Laminate Flooring 4Dec 06, 2010 7:55 am We chose uniclic to use through out our living areas. Pics are on our thread. Sorry I don't have any clue about laying it as it was done through our builder. I love it think it looks great. Haven't moved in yet do I can't comment on how durable or wearing it is yet! Sleven Moved into our Atlantique MkII 36 by Carlisle Homes Re: Quick Step Uniclic Laminate Flooring 5Dec 17, 2013 10:38 am We have just installed the Largo quick step range on our floors. Looks breathtaking but the flooring company who did the sale and installation not offer us the SCOTIA or INCIZO trims but instead nailed on some cheap beading (unfinished wood which was only spray painted on site with a flat white paint which catches dirt and scuffs, still rough and unevenly done) which left uneven gaps and ugly looking transition around trims, and cheap metal transition pieces which spoilt the whole look. The flooring company insists that the SCOTIA and INCIZO colours don't come in white OR the colour of our boards and that their product was more durable than the MDF which the SCOTIA/ INCIZO are made of. In the end we had to pay professional painters to re-do the beading (taping, filling, sanding, painting, glossing) cos it looked horrid next to the gorgeous floorboards. It set us $500 back!! The flooring company at least met us halfway to compensate for the painting costs, but still, it would have been better if we were told straight up that they couldn't get the products. We would have ordered them in ourselves from overseas and installed them ourselves as on the brochure and online stores they DO come in white and in the colour of our boards. Re: Quick Step Uniclic Laminate Flooring 6Jan 18, 2014 10:00 pm I did a Quik-Step job 5 months ago with the white MDF scotia supplied by the flooring company, but the white is not white, but slightly cream with a touch of marble to it. This was onto a gloss enamel skirting. Hmmm. The customer accepted it, as that was all that was available "off the shelf", and wasn't overly concerned about the miss-match. All whites are not white. You may have flat, semi, or gloss in a variety of paints on your skirting. So the only way to match the scotia to your skirting, is to have them both painted at the same time. There are always differences between Shop and customer understandings in all sale products. I think that the shop meeting halfway with the re-painting was a good outcome, as you ended up with perfectly matched scotia/skirting that ordinarily would not be possible with factory scotia. Re: Quick Step Uniclic Laminate Flooring 9Mar 13, 2014 11:01 pm I think it looks great sloth head! Thanks for the picture. I am thinking of using tHe white vintage oak planks. Are they easy enough to lay yourself or will you be getting a professional? Are they easy enough to lay yourself or will you be getting a professional? If I proceed with this product, I will be contracting for the installation. Having said that, I reckon if you have a modicum of DIY expertise you will have no issues laying these yourself. Re: Quick Step Uniclic Laminate Flooring 11May 15, 2014 11:22 am We just ordered Quick-Step Eligna in Light Grey for our upstairs and the staircase as well. Love the Largo range but they are slightly more expensive. The Eligna are a bit smaller but still have the 25yr warranty and maybe slightly easier to lay if we do it ourselves. We purchased through an online store and made a great saving and will be contracting for the installation. Going to attempt laying a bedroom and see how it goes but we will at least get the stairs done by a professional I think Just about completed a renovation project and hit a small issue that we didn’t see We have laminate floors now where we had tiles before (turned out it was actually 2… 0 4930 the step up is 30mm and wanting it to be flat . how much does the concrete have to be lowered .we plan on removing bath and lenghten shower and adding seat. the old bath… 0 11832 Do I need to concern about this pattern of crack? Is this crack showing some signs of bigger problems? Thanks for any suggestions! 1 1913 |
