Alternative to quads/beading

Hi,

I am getting floating bamboo floors installed on a concrete slab which is surrounded by standard architraves. I have nothing against quads but I am looking for a different option. I have heard of undercutting the architraves but don't know if this is a good option or not. The other option I know of is taking off the architraves fitting the boards and then putting the architraves back on but I can see myself damaging either the freshly painted wall or architraves doing this. Thanks!
The best way to go with floating floors is to take the arks off.
Its a neater and cleaner look.
If you don't think this will work because your arks are old (maybe) then best get new ones.
Thanks MichellE
