We are getting to the end of our new home build. Anyone advise what goes in first - carpets or engineered timber? Carpet people are saying they install after timber flooring and timber flooring people are saying carpets go in first!

When we had ours done, the timber went in first. There's a lot of dust created from cutting boards, quad and fitting them under doorway skirtings....and you don't want that through your new carpet!
