We are supplying and arranging installation of flooring ourselves, rather than going through the builder. We have decided on carpet in bedrooms and wooden look flooring everywhere else (apart from tiles in wet areas). Wooden flooring - should we go laminate or bamboo? What are advantages / disadvantages? We have dogs so want something pretty scratch resistant Any advice on what to look out for or what to avoid would be appreciated. With dogs inside I would definitely go vinyl plank. The colours are amazing and virtually undetectable from real wood. It's also so hard wearing.
